Honda CBR 250R Gets New Paint Schemes. Repsol Edition Included
The Honda CBR 250R can easily be counted among the more successful products from HMSI, the Indian subsidiary of Japanese auto giant. Much of it can be attributed to the ‘big bike’ looks and the good touring capabilities. However, the recent launch of the much publicized KTM 390 Duke has suddenly made every other bike, in segments below and above it, look overpriced. The KTM 390 Duke offers considerably more power, a bigger engine, more nimble ride and promises to be more fun, at a price which is close to what the CBR 250R’s is.
It seems like Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) recognizes this and has already started making the much needed amends. Honda has launched new colour schemes for the CBR 250R in a move to make the bike more appealing to prospective buyers. It may be noted that HMSI have had adopted a similar policy for the Unicorn, which got many new paint options.
Honda CBR 250R, much like the Unicorn, gets the Repsol Edition paint schemes, which might make the bike look much racier to some. Honda has also revised other color schemes for the CBR 250R and the bike now comes with black finish on the alloy wheels and heat shield. The new color schemes include red, black and white paint options and the bike now looks much like the US spec model.
Price for the Honda CBR 250R start at INR 1.57 lakhs (non-ABS). The ABS variant can be yours for INR 1.87 lakhs, in case you wish to stay away from the fantastically priced KTM Duke 390. The Repsol Edition paint scheme is available only with the ABS variant and will cost you INR 6k more. (All prices mentioned are ex-Delhi).
