Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superleggera Pics Leak
Ducati 1199 Panigale R Superleggera Pics Leak
Aiming to shave as much weight as possible from the already lightweight Panigale, Ducati went for some R&D in the composite and light metal technology, and chose forged magnesium Marchesini wheels, a one-piece carbon subframe, plenty of other internal panels also made from carbon fibers, full titanium exhausts with carbon end caps and the likes of this.
Pistons and crankshafts have also been "trimmed" for higher revs and given the rumored power of over 200 HP, we can presume the Superquadro engine will definitely have a higher top-end than the rest of the Panigale machines.
One of the photos also offers a glimpse of the bike's livery and it looks like it will be the traditional red and white Corse one. While keeping into the classic colors realm is surely neat, we kind of still expect to see a bike which stands from the crowd from this point of view, too. Bare carbon and red it still a nice combination...
