Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R coming to India in June?
Indian biking scene is fast heating up and it won’t be unsafe to predict that future seems really very bright for the performance bike aficionados in the country.
Bajaj Auto Ltd, the popular Indian bike maker, should be applauded for bringing in international bike brands such as Kawasaki and KTM to India. Only a few days back, Bajaj launched the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in India. The Ninja 300, which replaces the Ninja 250R, is an accomplished performance bike and it easily left a wide grin on our respective faces back when we spent a day testing it on a winding road. Bajaj will also soon launch the KTM 390 Duke in Indian bike market. The KTM 390 Duke will become the second KTM bike to come to us and should appeal to those who are looking for a powerful, well priced and worldclass street bike.
However, the onslaught of performance oriented bikes from BAL might not stop with the launch of the KTM 390 Duke.
It is being said that Bajaj also plans to spoil us bike aficionados silly with the launch of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R in June! The litre class Kwacker will join the new 300 and the 650 variants in the Indian bike market.
Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R is a 998cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four motor that benefits from four valves per cylinder. The motor has a max power output of 197 bhp @ 11,500 revs. The Ducati Panigale R and BMW S1000R adversary from Kawasaki is high on technology with features like Sport-Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) and Öhlins electronic steering damper.
The Ninja ZX10R will come to us via CBU route and is expected to go on sale for INR 14 lakhs.
