Brammo Announces 5-Year Warranty for Their Batteries
Brammo Announces 5-Year Warranty for Their Batteries
Great news come from top electric motorcycle manufacturer Brammo: the battery modules of their bikes, both bought in the past and new, are now covered by the BrammoPower 5-year warranty.
The warranty program affects registered Brammo vehicles operated normally and whose owners complied with the scheduled maintenance routine. The BrammoPower program also fully covers the owners of previously-bought Enertia Plus, Empulse and Empulse R machinery.
Current versions of the Enertia Plus, Empulse, Empulse R and Brammo - ICON Spec 32 – Eboz Edition motorcycles are also under the protection of the BrammoPower program. The warranty spans across 5 years with at 50,000-mile (80,000 km) term.
Brammo states that a 10-30% capacity decrease over the warranty period is normal, but customers who believe their batteries degraded worse than this can bring their bikes into an authorized dealership and have them tested. Usual tests can take up to 48 hours, Brammo says.
In case a faulty module will be detected, the Brammo technicians will attempt to repair or replace the components. A replacement battery module will be provided in more severe cases, and it may be a new or a factory reconditioned unit, according to specific conditions.
According to the manufacturer, "the BrammoPower battery warranty replacement may not return your vehicle as an “as new” condition, but it will make your Brammo fully operational appropriate to its age and mileage."
